An Apple of a Day!

Cooking the applesauce was a huge success!

Students washed their hands and their apples.

Students peeled, cored, and sliced their apples with this special peeler.

Students were given the opportunity to taste their apple raw.

Students placed an apple slice on the food dehydrator.

Students cut the apple rings.

Apples were placed in the pot of cooking applesauce (water, apples, and apple pie spice).

While groups of students were working in the kitchen with the volunteers the rest of the students were using patterns to colour apple art. Art will be on display for you to see at conferences later in the month.

Thank you to our three volunteers who made this possible.
